A vehicle body panel mounting connector that maintains a connection during normal operations and low speed impacts with a element of spring retention and return that allows for separation from high forces for example in the event of a high-speed collision as shown in Figures 1 through 6 that will further enable function of a tethered separable occupational compartment to minimize manufacturing cost with maximized passenger safety.
