The Sure Snap Zipper started as a new product idea for JTL Enterprises in East Long Meadow Massachusetts but after closing their doors due to financial problems, this project and a 50% ownership of patent rights were purchased from them and became a personal challenge to complete.

When we were first approached by the owner behind JTL, she wanted a fastener for people with poor finger dexterity and it had to be much simpler than existing designs and cost considerably less to manufacture.

From Research of Existing Designs on the market and associated information in their patents, we generated this Simplified Engineering Design that optimized it's components from several down to only two pieces and also Greatly Simplified the Automated Assembly Equipment with resulting per unit costs at Less Than One Third of Existing Fasteners and it can be Molded In Colors to match or accent any garment and accessories.
