The Plastic Razor started as a just a concept idea because David did not like handling the double edged razor blade when changing it into his screw open steel holder but back in the nineteen seventies he never thought it was possible to make.

When David DeVeau of DEVCO Design & Development was first shown a new plastic disposable lighter by a friend, who worked on the assembly line of the manufacture that primarily made razor blades, he was inspired and drew a picture of the razor with a written explanation of function for his friend to show his bosses. A few days later David signed a release contract and the rest is history.

From Necessity Comes Invention and now available from multiple manufacturers in all shapes, sizes and numbers of blades this Simplified Solution is still the most successful and safest way to shave with a blade razor. David still prefers the classic two blade design, just the way he designed it but will admit the strip of soft rubber they added for comfort is a nice improvement.
