Since David DeVeau, Owner and Engineering CEO of DEVCO Design & Development, has been inspired to get back into his passion for automotive style design from some very obvious successes that have been reflected throughout the industry, he has also been working on his other passion in automotive design, safety.

After a friend and a niece had become paralyzed from high speed collisions, another friend and his young family all killed, David challenged himself to come up with a safer automotive vehicle. Further inspired by his initial research that also revealed, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration mandated that occupant safety and vehicle size incompatibility were of the highest priorities due to over one million people globally being killed each year from high speed collisions.

Presently David has Patents Pending for the design features and any like features that will enable the passenger compartment to separate from the rest of the vehicle as the inertia implements it's abilities during the events of a high speed collision. That, unlike previous like patents, has simplified solutions based from existing construction techniques that will also allow the passenger compartment to separate in any direction. This design's very detailed engineering and research is indicative that it will also reduce the cost of manufacturing the overall automobile.

As mentioned, the patents are still pending so details can not be revealed and even after the patent grants, soon (now in the third year of the process) will be initially intended for sale to an exclusive American manufacturer, that will be better able to enforce domestic and even foreign infringements and with intent to build the American Automotive Industry back onto the top standing globally with the most cost effective and by far the safest automobile of historic implication, that will truly be reflective of advancements in Automotive Design for the 21st Century.
